Rosemary will do poetry or stand-up – or stand-up with poetry attached – or almost anything that is legal and moral (and not too fattening).
In February 2012, she was a finalist in the Silver Stand-Up awards.
She has done various events over the past year, including performing at Warwick Words, the Komedia Club in Brighton with Funny Women, at a Pudding and Laughter charity event for Alzheimers in Kenilworth, a Talisman Theatre poetry evenings, the Laughter is the Best Medicine evening for Macmillan and the Myton Hospice in Warwick, the Creative Cows Comedy Club and the Chipping Camden Literary Festival. Most recently, she was guest poet for the PGR Poetry Group in Leamington and competed in the Funny’s Funny competition in May.
In June Rosemary had a go at being MC for the third part of the Piganini trilogy which raised £2500 for the Coventry Arden Centre, and Macmillan Cancer Support; she also did a session at the Leamington Peace Festival.
Copies of Grey Matter are on sale after performances.
Rosemary had a small part (!) in September in a local amateur dramatic production of Calendar Girls in Kenilworth, and in early 2013 she talked to Jenni Murray on Woman’s Hour.
She always welcomes the opportunity to do charity gigs, especially for any charities close to her heart – or her home town.
